The Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) holds a special position across Europe, as they are at the same time key drivers of sustainable growth and job creation, important factors of creativity and innovation to other sectors, as well as significant contributors to social and cultural sustainability. Nevertheless, the small size of the companies in the sector, the severe effects of the economic and the pandemic crisis, and the lack of an entrepreneurial mindset make CCSI vulnerable to the rapidly changing environment and within an economic market where their value does not get sufficiently appreciated. Thus, CCSI needs guidance and support, targeted capacity building, networking and synergies opportunities, and funding incentives.
The project “Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries for Collaboration, Competitiveness, Sustainability, and Innovation – CCSI4CCSI” brings together 8 partners from 5 different European regions, to facilitate the triple transition (green, digital, social) for and with the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries (CCSI) at regional and interregional level. The project leader is Region Central Macedonia (EL), and the project partners are KEPA - Business and Cultural Development Centre (EL), Enter Koprivnica (HR), City of Koprivnica (HR), Malopolska Regional Development Agency (PL), Business Kolding (DK), Design Region Kortrijk (BE), City of Kortrijk (BE).
The CCSI4CCSI projects aim to: a) support CCSI actors to develop, transform, and innovate; b) promote synergies within the regional ecosystem and cross-fertilization of CCSI with other smart specialization priority sectors; c) inspire proactive decision-making by linking foresight tools with policy.
The Interreg Europe program funds the project, total value of the project is EUR 1,558,854.00, of which EUR 126,810.00 goes to the City of Koprivnica, and EUR 163,462.00 to Enter Koprivnica.
